I have left these images in the order in which they were taken from my trip up to the top of the East Ridge at the site of Our Lady of the Rockies.  Looking east over the Chapel are the Boulder Mountains and to the south are the snow-capped Highland Mountains.

I highly recommend selecting the above left image and take in my morning spectacle from this day!

I can't recall the exact time that we reached the top of the Continental Divide, but I do recall it being completely dark still along the windy mountain-side road!  This series of taken over about a 2 hour span on a crisp and cool autumn morning near a 8,550 foot benchmark!  The first few shots that I took I thought were remarkable, but they only kept getting better as the morning progressed!

These last three rate up there with some of my best sunrise photographs I have taken.  The bright and vivid colors then the layers of light between the mountain valleys as the morning dews start to rise from the tree tops.  A quick bit on the Chapel of the Lady of the Rockies:  It is a nondenominational place of worship for the visitors to take a moment and thank their deity for the blessings of life and health.  The entire base of the Chapel are memorial walls in memorium to mothers and women just as the statue of Our Lady is dedicated.
