While on my way southward to the Missouri Breaks from the Hi-Line, I had to pull off onto the shoulder of the road to take in this view. Looking westward onto the buttes lying at the feet of the Highwood mountains, the evening haze fill the gaps between these earthly towers. The more prominent butte with the flat top on the left is aptly named Square Butte and the lesser rise that is barely peering out from the haze to the right of it is known as Round Butte. From there, it fades into the evergreen foothills of the Highwoods.
