On my second trip back out the Hyalite Canyon area on my first day back in the homestate, I happened to catch this guy rising above the Gallatins while I was shooting pitcures of the painted sky over the Tobacco Root mountains to the west of Bozeman. I do have to credit Nasim Mansurov and his blog for teaching me the ways of capturing the moon, properly that is. It took some serious manuevering and patience to get this shot focused on the moon with the branches being a large part of the frame at such a close distance. One benefit I also noticed while being in the mountain climate in the center of the continent - less humidity! That factor itself made shooting much easier being I did not have to wipe the condensation of the lens every two minutes and made for crisper pictures in the end, and I might add to breathe in general!
