Of my tour of Havre Beneath the Streets, this room in my opinion holds some of the most amusing pieces of the old-time Havre. I truly hope that some of the stories of events that occurred in this very room are documented somewhere for I know there had to be some wild and thrilling times to be had! Few pieces that I definitely took a keen interest in were the double hammer rifles and the mirror behind the bar. A quick story behind the mirror, is that it made it's way via steamboat from the central Midwest, most likely St. Louis. In the image below, one can see the manufacturing marks have bled through due to reactions with the silver used to create the mirror. The rifles are a prime example of the ingenuity and desire to have something special which was an overall tone of the time period - The Industrial Era.
