I have started up on snapping shots of old barns across the United States before these consequential structures disappear. This old barn is located about seven miles west of Big Sandy, Montana, along Highway 87. I can not put a date on when the barn was built exactly however it was from a time when the farm required a few dairy cows and plow horses judging by the stalls in the lower level. I was lucky enough to catch a great shot of a Great Horned Owl taking shelter in the old hay loft! It is amazing to think that this barn was most likely built by the help of the farm's surrounding neighbors - by the labor of simple hand tools and basic levers instead of modern day crane arm machinery.
