Upon landing in the green Gallatin valley on a sunny Sunday morning with keys in hand, where else would I go other than the Hyalite Canyon!? Coming from the pines of Georgia, I could not believe how poignant smell of the evergreen pines was in my nose while the saccharine smell of the meadows filled with endless wildflowers carried me away! One of the many parts that I miss dearly about my homestate is how incredible air quality, which I definitely enjoyed every minute of while I was back in the Treasure State. Another surprise to me was the number of Indian paintbrushes scattered throughout the entire canyon this late in the year!
